Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes at my favorite place to eat! Yo quiero Taco Bell!

Taco Bell has "broken" out the good stuff! A new Big Bell menu now exists with double meat items and additions to items already out. To name a few, we now have the soft taco grande, one of the best improvements in awhile, it is a soft taco with double the meat and nacho cheese added in. The combo burrito is also a big hit, featuring double the meat and refried beans and a red sauce, total weight 1/2 of a pound of sheer goodness! In addition they've also added a new dessert, the caramel apple empanada, a 99 cent delicacy. Hopefully they will add new flavors like cherry or peach or something. I think they could another dessert; here's my idea, a chalupa shell with cherries or apples inside covered in powdered sugar or whipped cream, yum! As if all these menu additions weren't enough, they have added yet another nice touch, extra hours of operation. Here in Southern Ohio we don't have the base for 24 hour operations, breakfast and things of that nature in our local Taco Bells. However, that all seems to be changing at long last! On Fridays and Saturdays, the border is now open 24 hours! Gotta love it.

In the wake of all of these restaurants making portions smaller and carb-conscious, it is an absolutely refreshing change to see this restaurant adding bigger items, and more importantly, at reasonable prices, the old bean burrito was 89 cents the new one adds double the quantity plus a quesadilla sauce for only a buck and twenty-nine cents. Better still, the combo burrito is an instant classic for me. It's like a burrito supreme without the lettuce and tomatoes and then the meat and beans doubled up, priced at $1.29 also and still only $1.54 with sour cream which I MUST have hehe, still better than the $2.29 pricetag afforded to the 'Big Beef Burrito Supreme"

As the "Taco Man," I find myself hard-pressed to find room for improvement with a place that I already love and revere. These recent changes, however, are a wonderful and welcome improvement and have made an already great establishment an even better and outstanding one....Viva la taco bell!! Viva gorditas! Viva Pepto-Bismol!! lol :o)
